Stainless steel Honeycomb drum For generations, Miele washing machines have been known for their thorough yet gentle care of fabrics. Miele's Honeycomb washing drum advances this technology even further. Forged from the very best stainless steel with a unique convex pattern that resembles a honeycomb, the Honeycomb drum enhances both cleaning performance and reduces fabric wear. The by-product of this patented advancement is an 80% reduction in the number of water exit holes and a network of water channels that create a thin water layer that cushions your clothes while the drum rotates. Advanced Touchtronic controls With all of the drying possibilities available with the Miele Touchtronic W1215 Large Capacity Washing Machine, surprisingly you do not need a degree in mechanical engineering to use it. Miele engineers created a simple approach that allows you to quickly and easily select a cycle that will automatically adjust the water, temperature, soak and spin speeds to manage your cleaning task. There are nine wash programs: Normal, Wrinkle-free, Sanitize, Extra White, Woolens, Delicates, Silk, Handwash and Sturdy. Of course, there may be occasion to override Miele's programs, in which case you can customize your own program and command the machine's cycle. Fault indicators The smart Touchtronic controls continuously monitor both the intake lines and the drain lines. The indicator lights will immediately advise you if a problem is detected. Hydraulic suspension With the high spin speeds and the Hydromatic system doing its job, Miele washing machines need to be very stable. Two solid cast iron cradles stabilize the drum, and the entire system is supported by four heavy-duty springs and two industrial strength shock absorbers.
