The Miele Earth's intelligent automatic power setting is on by default to select the best power level for the floor surface being cleaned. This ensures the most economical use of energy, and because the guesswork has been eliminated you don't to adjust the power level yourself.
For those rare times when you do want to control the suction power yourself, just use the convenient plus and minus (+ / -) step-on button controls with LED indicator to adjust power to any of six levels. Easy to understand graphic symbols indicate which setting is best suited for different kinds of surfaces, such as rugs and carpets, drapes or hard floors.
