The Miele Ariel is the first in the S5 series of canister vacuums, best for hardwood floors, area rugs, and looped/flat carpeting. The Miele Ariel’s combination rug and floor tool is lined with nylon bristles which are gentle on your floor while they sweep. One click of a button retracts those bristles, leaving a stainless steel base plate with velveteen thread-catching strips to comb through your area rugs.

The Miele Ariel gives you control over six suction settings by way of the powerful 1200W Vortex Motor. Whether you’re vacuuming drapes, smooth floors, rugs or furniture, you can find the right suction level for the job. For powerful suction with minimal noise output, turn the rotary dial to Miele’s patented silent setting. To protect itself, the safety shut-off feature stops the motor when airflow is restricted so that it doesn’t overheat.

The included crevice tool, upholstery nozzle and dusting brush allow you to clean all the hard-to-reach places in your home, and they’re all conveniently stored in the Miele Ariel’s on-board storage compartment. The floor tool fits into any of three parking docks, located on the back and either side of the canister, for storage or short breaks in cleaning.

The Active Air Clean filter catches 97% of particles, and the Miele Ariel’s sealed system construction stops those particles from escaping through seams in the vacuum’s casing. Larger messes are held securely in the four-layered, self-sealing 4.76 quart dust bag.

The Miele Ariel is outfitted with 360º casters and rubber wheels to make sure you never have to drag the vacuum. Transitions from carpet to hard floors are a cinch with the built-in travel ramps on each caster. A fully-integrated bumper strip keeps furniture and baseboards scratch-free, and the deluxe ergonomic handle takes unnecessary tension away from your wrist.
