Why does a Triflex cost more than other cordless sticks?
You are buying the machine once. The Triflex HX3 runs a Digital Efficiency Motor with Lifetime HEPA filtration, and its parts are serviceable rather than sealed into a disposable body. A cheaper cordless replaced every few years costs more across the same span, and every one of those replacements sends fine dust back into the room while it works.
How long does the battery really last?
Up to 70 minutes on one battery, and up to 140 on the two-battery models. That range is real but it moves with the power level you use. The 7-segment display counts down the minutes you have left instead of showing a bar you have to interpret, so you know before you start whether you can finish the floor.
What is the difference between the five Triflex HX3 models?
The platform is identical across all five: same motor, same digital display, same Boost Mode, same Lifetime HEPA, same stainless-steel filter cage. What changes is batteries and tools. Brilliant White is the platform on its own. Cat & Dog adds the Electro Compact for pet hair. Plus adds a second battery and the Hardfloor Roller. Aqua adds wet cleaning. Aqua Plus has all of it.
Will it work on my carpet?
Yes, on low and medium pile. The MultiFloor XXL adjusts itself between carpet and hard floor, so nothing has to be switched as you move between rooms, and Boost Mode is there for a high-traffic strip or an entry mat. For deep or high-pile carpet, a Miele canister with a powered brush is still the better tool, and our specialists will tell you that before you buy.
Is it good for allergies?
Lifetime HEPA capture is standard on every model in the line, and the sealed system keeps fine dust and dander inside the machine rather than pushing it back out through the exhaust. The hygienic emptying design matters here too: the moment you empty a bagless bin is the moment allergens get a second chance, and the stainless-steel cage was built to reduce that.
